Mother
Kali Maha Mantra

I myself worship the Mother aspect [of God] especially. For the Mother is closer than the Father. The Father aspect of God represents that part which is aloof from His creation. The Mother is creation itself. Even among mankind, the human father is more disposed than the mother to judge their erring children. The mother always forgives.
~ Yogananda

Matthew 12:31-32

31 Wherefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.

32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

*** Meaning; blasphemy against the father or the son can be forgiven with repentance and atonement of the 7 churches within, but blasphemy against the Holy Mother Spirit will not be forgiven...
In other words, blaspheming mommy is forbidden, Christ and Tunkashila(Creator Supreme, the ineffable) said so.

Kali, in hinduism, represents this Holy Mother Spirit from christianity. She is Mother Nature. She is Aum, the cosmic vibration of holy creation used by God to make all universes, planes, stars, and realms. In Aum everything exists—all matter, all energy, and the thoughts of all conscious beings. Hence, Her garland of heads, to show that She is invisibly present in all minds.

The play of life and death expresses Her activity in Nature: creation, preservation, and destruction. Hence the sword, the head, and a third hand extended, bestowing life.

Her energy is omnipresent; hence Her streaming hair, representing energy.

Shiva, Her husband, represents God in His vibrationless state, beyond creation. Thus, He is depicted as supine.

Kali’s tongue is protruding not in blood-lust as most people believe, but because in India, when a person makes a mistake, he sticks out his tongue. In the West, don’t you express embarrassment somewhat similarly? You put your hands to your mouth.

Kali is depicted as dancing all over creation. This dance represents the movement of cosmic vibration, in which all things exist. When Kali’s foot touches the breast of the Infinite, however, She puts her tongue out as if to say, ‘Oh, oh, I’ve gone too far!’ For at the touch of the Infinite Spirit, all vibration ceases.

Kali’s fourth hand is raised in blessing on those who seek, not Her gifts, but liberation from the endless play of maya, or delusion.

The Divine Mother is, of course, without form, though we may say also that Her body is the entire universe, with its infinity of suns and moons. She can also appear to the devotee in human form, however. When She does so, She is enshrined in supernal beauty.

Divine Mother is extremely close to us in very a tangible way. How? Every woman can become a living Divine Mother here on earth—an instrument of Her pure love, Her pure grace, and Her pure power. When that happens, it is Her appearance right in front of us.

Secretly the Divine Mother also wears the face of our earthly mother. In Autobiography of a Yogi it’s recorded that She tells Yogananda:

"It is I who have watched over thee, life after life, in the tenderness of many mothers! See in My gaze the two black eyes, the lost beautiful eyes, thou seekest!"

It is, of course, entirely up to us how we approach God—as a Father, a Mother, or in a formless way. In short—we may cheerfully throw all dogmas concerning the only correct approach to God out of the window. The one and only valid “dogma” is Love. He/She answers to sincere devotion, appearing with a million different faces, in whatever form the devotee worships.

A devout Christian sees Jesus; a Hindu beholds Krishna, or the Goddess Kali, or an expanding Light if his worship takes an impersonal turn…. In order to please His beloved devotee, the Lord takes any desired form. If the devotee worships through devotion, he sees God as the Divine Mother. To Jesus, the Father aspect of the Infinite One was appealing beyond other conceptions. The individuality with which the Creator has endowed each of His creatures makes every conceivable and inconceivable demand on the Lord’s versatility!

We may choose, then, to worship God as the Cosmic Mother, who is ever-close, ever-loving, ever-compassionate, and ever-forgiving towards us, Her children. From our hearts, we can talk to Her like children:

"Divine Mother, naughty or good, I am Your own."

-Paramhansa Yogananda

“Divine Mother has asked me to convey these words to you. I am very pleased with all of you. I am very pleased with what you are doing. But, don’t live in littleness, in petty things, little thoughts, little worries, little ambitions. Live for me, for my love.

I am your Mother through all eternity. Nothing else matters. You were born to commune with Me. For no other reason were you born.
Live in my consciousness; everything else is dust.

I know all of your thoughts. Your devotion is very pleasing to me. You are my children; you are all very dear to Me. Live more in Me. Live in my love.

Yes, build a community, but in the sense of communion with Me. My children, I am always with you. I am just behind your thoughts; just behind your feelings.
I am with you every second. Let no other thought come between Me and thee.”

~ Swami Kriyanandaji

adi shakti mantra new

Every moment belongs to God; Endeavour to keep your mind dedicated to His Feet. God, the Ocean of Mercy, who ever blesses the world, pours out His grace at all times. It is incumbent on man to consider everything that happens to be for the best: ‘For the best’ denoting what is most helpful towards the realization of the Divine, the realization of the fullness of Bliss.

Nothing happens that is not an expression of God’s grace. Verily, all is His grace.

God’s mercy pours down everywhere and at all times. One becomes aware of this by making oneself receptive to it. To pray constantly for His grace is man’s duty.

Do you want deliverance from the bonds of the world? Then weeping profusely, you will have to cry out from the bottom of your heart: “Deliver me, great Mother of the World, deliver me!” To obtain Her grace, you will have to shed tears much more abundantly than when you desire things of the world. When by the flood of your tears the inner and the outer have fused into one, you will find Her, whom you sought with such anguish, nearer then the nearest, the very breath of life, the very core of every heart.

The mind is its own friend or foe; the mind itself has to destroy its own ignorance.. The easiest and most effective means for purging the mind is to associate with saints and seekers after Truth and to ceaselessly invoke the Name of God.

Pray to God with tears in your eyes whenever you want illumination or find yourself faced with any doubt or difficulty. The Lord will remove all your impurities, assuage your mental anguish, and give you enlightenment.

One who makes a habit of prayer will easily overcome all difficulties and remain calm and unruffled in the midst of the trials of life.

We have to surrender ourselves completely to the Lord with faith and devotion in Him, serve others to the best of our capacity, and never be a source of sorrow to anybody.

Certainly you will have doubts. There will be questionings and faith will return again. That is how faith is established.

Give up this dry discussion, this hodge-podge of philosophy. Who has been able to know God by reasoning? Even sages like Suka and Vyasa are at best like big ants trying to carry away a few grains of sugar from a large heap.

Don't be afraid. Human birth is full of suffering and one has to endure everything patiently, taking the Name of God. None, not even God in human form can escape the sufferings of the body and mind.

Even Avataras, saints, and sages have to undergo the ordeal of suffering, for they take upon themselves the burden of sins of omission and commission of ordinary human beings and thereby sacrifice themselves for the good of humanity.

One cannot escape from the effects of one past karma. But if a person lives a prayerful life, he gets off with only the prick of a thorn in the leg where he was to suffer from a deep cut.
